Is there a way to make my not so black heat wrap black again?

you always should use high temp paint (1200*) when you wrap pipes unless you want that faded look (looks vintage)
but just pull them off and coat them with some high temp paint.

Man...I was hoping you weren't going to say that. My Thunderheaders were a total pain in the a$$ to install!

if it's easier to cover the bike from overspray, leave em on. I have touched up my pipes while still installed before. Just covered areas for overspray. Your applying a flat coat to wrap. you can keep the can closer and not worry about runs or even application.

+1

I have used a piece of cardboard between the pipes and the engine to block the overspray. As long as you go slow it will turn out fine.
