Default Alarm

I am looking at purchasing a scorpio alarm. I'm trying to figure out if it will just plug into the factory harness are if i will have to rewire the bike. I have a 2000 dyna wide glide. I'm not sure how to tell if it will just plug in.

It will plug right in between the turn signal harness. However if you want to install the Anti-hijack cutoff feature you need to splice wires. You will also need to connect it to the battery positive. It is an easy install, the hardest part is figuring out where to fit the alarm.

I am thinking of getting a scorpio alarm too, for an '06 wide glide. Will this hook up alright if you already have the factory alarm ? How is the range and reliabiity.

Scorpio sells an upgrade for the standard HD alarm that includes a siren and pager.
As far as range I have had the pager display tell me I am in range up to 3/4 of a mile away outdoors on flatground. But in a building it is more like a couple hundred yards.
They have a new pager out now that is waterproof and more sturdy than the one I have.
