Default RPM Protection?

I have the 06 Street Bob - probably doesn't matter.....Anyway, does anyone know if it has some kind of throttle RPM Protection from revving to high....Going from gear to gear sometimes I have noticed it slip when it's revving high to get into second or third....usually passing a car or somethingn...my power just goes away....typically right at the point I'm about to pull my clutch in....

Anyone?Thanks!

it does have a rev limiter. I know because i hit it a few times. I think it cut you off about 6500 rpm. cut the fuel injectors off to protect over rev/

I do believe the stock rev limiter is set at 5500 or 5800 rpm and the SERT raises it to 6200. If they didn't have a rev limiter built in there would be HD engine parts strewn all over the streets of America....JMO

its 5500 dude , you can get a ignition mod for 6200 , but they dont recommend turning a stock 88 over 6200

I said "I think" it was 6500. according to the dyno it looks like 6100 rpm, or thats where he turned off throttle

Stock it cuts off at 5300rpm. The Stage I download raises that to 6200rpm. It operates through the ignition.
