Even with the forward controls on my Fat Bob, my legs start to get stiff after 30 mins. Most of the guys I ride with have pegs on their engine guards. I'm not quite sold on the engine guards just yet.
Any recommendations?
Thanks for the responses. Now for a follow up question. . .is there a big difference when shifting\breaking with the extensions? Obviously there will be some getting use to the controls being 2' or 3' further. For those that made the change, how long did it take to adjust? This is my first bike. I've only been riding since June. Should I wait a while before making the change? Get some more driving experience under my belt? Highway pegs seemed to be an option as well.
My Wide Glide was my frist bike and I had the same issueand it didnt take long once I did the 3 inch extension the bike felt more comfortable to me. The only thing I had to do was adjust the position of the shifter and I was good to go. I would recommend doing them now cause you will probaly feel more comfortable on the bike.
I'm 6'1" and these Kuryyakn Cruise Extensions on my forwards did the trick. Many foot positions possible and can quickly return my foot to original position for braking, shifting. Plus they fold up for tight garages.
i was just out riding today and had the same problem. i put down the passenger pegs as i was riding by myself and stuck my feet up there for 5 minutes. wasnt very comfortable but it changed my leg position for a couple of minutes. cost $0.00!
a buddy of mine rides a croch rocket and he will slide up onto the tank and let his feet dangle for a few minutes.... might not work with the dyna.......
