sorry, got "distracted" for the last few days, weekend activities, opening weekend and what not but...thanks for all the thoughts and pics. As someone said earlier; these are a lot of nice looking Dyna's with bags.
Anybody have any thoughts/experience about extended road trips while keeping the mid controls with pegs as opposed to forwards and floorboards?
thanks everyone!!
I personally don't like engine guards on a Superglide. I have highway pegs up front. I love them. You can stretch out and relax if you want. Enough position variety for the long hauls.
i run HD quick detach bags and windshield on my SB. mid controls with highway pegs for options. honestly i have owned two dyna's and a street glide and i like my current dyna the best. i can put 700 miles a day on my dyna no prob. maybe it doesn't look super awesome like a show chopper but i ride my bike everywhere. i find that the dyna is the most versatile bike. i can run it like a touring rig or strip it down for around the city. IMO it is the best set up unless you are wealthy and can afford both.
I rode like this for awhile, I set the bike up for traveling this summer but after I got home I felt like I didn't need the windshield anymore so I took it off.
love my bags. never gave a thought to a windsheild. Am thinking of trying some hard touring bags. held them up to the bike and they may be a little too much. gonna make some brackets and post pics. to get some oppinions.
I have QD boss bags on my Lowrider. It looks better with them off, but they are so useful I never do. I also have a switchblade screen that goes on for long rides and winter. Again, not as pretty, but it sure helps on the long rides.
