Default HD Saddlebags and BareBacks on Dynas

Been reading as much here about the Rigid Locking Saddlebags PN 91615-09A

For those that have a set installed, I have just a few questions.

1. Are the openings large enough for a leather jacket with armor?

2. Did you use BareBacks to mount or some other detachable method?

3. Did you do the install yourself? Any tips?

4. What would you do differently if you could start over?

Thanks in advance.

As far as #3...if you can operate an open end wrench or socket, you can install them yourself.

#2 Cant use Barebacks. there's a recessed boss molded into the strong back of the bag. The mount kit that comes with the bag is the only system you can use. On that note, why not use HD's method?

#4 I've done that several times already and I still aint got it right.

You will need a tour pack or something similiar to be able to stuff that jacket it it. I have a armoured mesh jacket with pads and it won't fit in the saddle bag. I got a locking cable put it through the arms and lock it down with my helmet. Works great.

When I had a set of dyna "big bags" on my Low Rider I could just squeeze my leather coat in one bag. It fit but it was tight.

Not a "high jack", just a little "side jack"

Joe, What kind of bags are those?
