Wow....I'm not a flame design guy.....but that is freakin' sick! I've been on a 2010 Wide Glide but it was Vivid Black. I'll have to think very hard about my upcoming decision.

If its made in 2009 its a 2009 model isn't it.

Been this way for as long as I can remember. The next year's models usually come out in the fall of the previous calendar year.
Look at Chevy's new Camaro, it's a 2010 model and came out in the spring. That is an extreme example though, since it was really early.
In the auto and motorcycle industry, model year does not go from Jan. to Dec. The VIN listed on the bike/auto determines what year it is.
