Short ride to Detroit Lake today
My father and I took a short ride out to Detroit Lake today. Perfect weather!!!!
Stopped off at the little deli, drank a beverage and relaxed on the deck.
Rode down to the water to hang out for a bit and got a few pics.
And last but not least, a few of the bikes.
The happy new WG owner, breakin' it in!
Great day!

When I read the title, I though, "he must mean 'Detroit Lakes'. Wow! we're damn near neighbors!".
Your version turns out to be much more scenic. Great pics!

Thanks. I'm not much of a photo guy, but I need to start taking more. I never take a camera and always regret it. I'm learning.
It is a great ride. We hit the back way from Jefferson, through Scio, out to 22 and we were going to head up Brietenbush, but they were paving up that way so we decided the fresh oil wouldn't be fun.
That exhaust is coming off this weekend and it's getting traditional 2 into 2 setup. He's done a ton of small things so far (chrome mirrors, axle covers, smoked lens (waiting on rear bulbs), vertical license plate coming...
also doing chrome fork sliders, triple trees, switch covers and his stage one.
Winter plans include chrome engine kit and possibly new wheels, he doesn't care for the spokes. (Here is to hoping I score a nice 21" wheel for mine!)
