you can get the detachable rear seat so you can have the best of both worlds.

Yes, that is the factory solo seat[IMG][/IMG]. The luggage rack is a Motherwells that I bought directly from Motherwells. It is held on by two mounting points. The front one is the same screw that holds down the rear of the factory solo seat. The rear screw is the same screw hole that the rear of a two up seat would be held down by. So no holes were drilled or added. I also have bought a detatchable pillion seat and pegs because my girlfriend was doing some serious whining. If you bought a solo seat and kept the other seat too, you could switch back and forth within minutes, the best of both worlds!

Is that the main difference between a Super and a Bob chassis... Apes and a solo? I've been wondering, but too lazy to go the MoCo site. It looked to me like the rake was different too, but my Super has a motorguard so it looks like theres no rake anyway.

Bobs have wider forks, blacked out engine and trans. Much nicer looking than the super in my opinion. I don't like the gray engine on the super. depends on what you like.

I did the same thing you are considering. I bought a solo seat from a Bob on ebay dirt cheap and then added the captive nut to the front hole for the solo mount. I bought the hardware from the dealer and also picked up a chrome cap like the Road Kings come with to cover the rear nut when running solo. I can switch back in seconds. To keep it real simple I removed the grab strapfrom the original seat. Wife doesn't need it any way, if she thought she was going to fall off I wager she will try to take me with her as aposed to trying to grab the strap.

Yep, looks like in '07 the only diff is blacked out motor, mini-ape handlebars, and a little nicer lookin solo seat. In '06 the solo seats were the same.

Don't forget the Bob alsohas the lower seat height/rear suspension as per the Low Rider, laced wheels and the tank mount speedo.
