Default Changed Out The Handlebar and Mirrors...

I was happy with the stock mini apes but wanted to go after a different look and feel, so I put satin black Sporty flat tracker bars with Loner Industries 2" risers and satin black HD short stem mirrors.

The new set up feels good, but I've noticed a bit more vibration in the bars and mirrors compared to the mini apes, but not too bad.

The bike's looking great, man!
Are those actually stock Sportster bars?

Thanks for the kudos, I ordered the bars from Chcago HD w/20% discount from the HD online accessories site, but I'm not sure if they are the same as the stock Sporty bars...they are part # 56085-83A

That looks real good. I'm kind of biased since I did the same thing (not shown in sig). I started out with the stock risers but then switched to 2.5" pullback risers from Drag Specialties. Made it a real comfortable riding position. The stock risers where just a tad too low and forward.

That really looks nice! How did you mount the risers since they are integrated in the triple tree on the 2009 model?

The riding position feels good, I'm just slightly leaned forward...I noticed the turn in is a bit quicker than with the mini apes.

The Loner Industries 2" risers also add some pullback to the bars...I need that due to my very short reach to the bars.

olguyriding, the risers just bolt on with longer bolts that are suppiled with the risers from the top.

Thanks for the info. One more question: did you have to make any cable changes?

No cable changes were made...although per the pics, the cables are a couple inches too long, but no proplems with the bike.
