Default Closest / Shortest Forward Controls

I've been reading through all of the threads I can find regarding forward controls. Seems like HD or Kury are cost-effective approaches. As I'm inseam challenged like a few others (30"), which set brings the controls closest in - HD or Kury standards (9063)? I like the fact that the Kury's allow one to go back to mid-control relatively easily.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

If returning to mids may be what you decide later why don't you try just adding hiway pegs first and keep the mid controls.

If you are short and want forwards, get a seat that pushes you forward.

Pegs with heel rests help also.

I'm of a similar inseam, think long and hard about some highway pegs and keeping the mids. They work amazingly well and I can move my feet around as fatigue sets in.

I had mids with hiway pegs on my sportie...

On the WG forwards are standard and I have mini floor boards to make it easier to deal with that kind of stretch. I also just put a reach seat on order and mid control brackets so that I can put mid pegs in for long trips. If you do put forwards you may want to leave the mid pegs just in case you need a new foot position for the longer adventures

Hey man, stay with the mids and put highway pegs. I live in colorado too and riding around in the mountain areas its a lot better. You can tear up the twisties around here with mids.

Thanks for the input. The local dealer had the adjustable highway pegs in stock - mounts to the same location as the forwards. I can set those up to work for me, and if I decide later I like them, I can always move to the forwards then.

I was going through the same dilema you are a few months back. I finally decided to stay with the mids and my LR already had highway pegs. At one point I considered going with forwards but also keeping the mid pegs (minus the controls of course) to allow myself to change my positions for more comfort on long rides but I bailed on that plan.

By keeping it the way it was I could still change foot positon for comfort and I can also shift and rear brake regardless if my feet are at the mid position or highway peg positon. Can't do that if you have forwards controls with mid pegs.
