If I had the connector, I'd cut and soldier. I just ordered the connector from the dealer yesterday so it should be in on Friday...we'll see.

I pulled the strut covers off completely for now. The little chrome covers on the upper shock mount too. I am contemplating powdercoating them...but haven't decided yet.

I'll post more once I get moving on this again.

Picked up the wiring harness for the tail light today. So, FYI, the International bike is different from the US Spec bike. I have the international bike, so the install will be similar but not exact. On difference from the 07 to the 09 is the number of wires run to the turn signals. The US specs use all 3 wires whereas the HDI's use only 2 wires. I just thought that I could buy the connector and swap my 2 wire turn signals out into the 3 wire connector plug.....nope. The terminals in the 2 wire plug are too big. So, here is where I am at. I have to wait until I get I get into work on Tuesday so I can get some heat shrink and then I'll soldier everything up and start posting pictures.

I tested everything out by just twisting wires together and everything worked like a champ. I am under a deadline...so this will be done this week. I have to be ready to do the POW/MIA ride next week. So, pictures and how to will be up very soon.

Thanks to everyone for their help thus far.
