Default I can not get the grip off... i need ideas

Ok... so my F'N grip will not come off... i have tried it all, Heat gun, Screw driver, even channel locks, this sucker will not come off... any ideas? i got in my new gold powder and i want to do my grips and controls but i can not get the grips off! any ideas of something for me to try? I need to use it so i do not want to cut it off... i am thinking that if i heat it and then cool it real fast that may break it loose... no idea

you can even see where i am starting to chew it up smacking it with a screw driver after the block of wood and then PVC failed

Joe, what type of glue did you use?
If glued, have you tried leaning the bike over on the left side, and putting lacquer thinner around the grip to soften it?
Or Acetone/MEK?

Next Q, is the grip polished aluminum, or is it chromed?
Hope theres no electrolysis or you'll be cutting it off

+1 on this, I've had to cut a lot of tubes thanks to aluminum and steel trading electrons...

Best bet is pouring a TON of WD40 and rubbing alcohol down in it and hoping for the best...

I've had a similar problem with the alloy wheels on my truck fusing themselves to the steel hub and having had to be beaten to death to get them to break loose. If it's not glued on and heat doesn't help, that may be what has happened.

+1 on the WD-40 trick. Get an ice pick under the grip and spray some WD-40 along side the pick. The WD-40 should soften the adhesive. Good luck.

Didn't even think about that.

I'll have to remember that...

Does your grips have a hole on the end??? Maybe if you heat the outside of the grip and spray some canned air (upside down, so the liquid comes out) in that hole maybe it will cool the bars enough to slid out of the grips...

Probably not possible to powder the grip while still attached to the bar?

I've also heard about a half an ounce of Bullseye and a match works pretty good too
