Default Bobs with Street Slammer Bars

Im going on 3 years with my Street Bob and although I like my stock mini apes I wouldnt mind trying something different. I am leaning towards the Street Slammer bars. Anyone have any pictures of these installed, opinions???

I have the street slammer for a few month now and I love them. I like the way they look and I felt an improvement in handling ( closer to dirt bikes/super motard, which I had before) compare to the mini ape.

You can have a look at that pic or check a few more pic in my profile.

The only bars I could ever imagine to have to replace them would be with some outlaw T-bars.

hope it helps
j.

Friend of mine (he is on here, but I don't think he's active or posts much) has a set on his 06.

He's looking to go to apes, I think more of a comfort thing for him but the SS bars look sick on his bike. I used to think I wanted a set, but I've grown to love my apes, and in fact want some taller ones.

The first mod I did was to swap out the mini apes for 6" Wild 1 T-bars, which are similar. I liked the better control they gave me and comfort was not a problem. Since then I changed them out for Nightster bars for a little more control and a better riding position. I also like the look.

I'm looking to install those on my bike. I really like the look. It will look great on your bike too.

Thanks for the input guys. I really think it will be a nice change. Probably feel like a new bike. Now to find a set thats not 300 bucks.

Im thinking I will have to change out my brake lines, clutch cable and throttle cables.

Listen, I put on a set of Buffalo 6" T-Bars I got off E-Bay for $59 plus shipping. I figured, what the hell how bad could they be for $59. I'll tell you what, they look great. The chrome is as good as any chrome on the bike. The bars are a little lower than the Harley Street Slammer bars so you will need to relocate the turn signals or they will hit the gas cap. They look better on the forks anyway. The steering will feel a little heavy at first but you'll get used to it. Completely changes the look of the bike. Love 'em

Oh by the way, you won't need any new cables. You will need to bend the brake line a little but it's no biggie.

Am I correct in assuming that I'd need to change out my triple tree (2008 Street Bob) before I could do Street Slammer bars?
