Yeah, the 2" rise gives ya about a 1" pullback. The problem with 6" or 8" would be the bolts. They would be the weak point.

are these still available, i cant seem to find risers for the late street bobs anywhere else?

Got my wifes 2" risers from him about 6 weeks back. She loves them. They brought the bars back and up perfectly for her. Look great to! Cant beat them!

yes i believe they are... he's on my friends list if you dont have any luck searching him out on here.

you can just send him an email, lonerindustries at yahoo.com. when I got mine he had 1, 2 and 4inch risers. I got the 4 and love them.

i just put on the 1" so i can install different bars without dropping the for tubes, job will be completed soon

I'm sure it would work but you may not like the angle of the pullback. The fixed bottom portion of the clamp on the upper tree is angled back towards the rider; you cant really tell with just the bars on there but its quite pronounced with the 2" riders (I have them on my bike) so with 8"ers I'd guess the bars would be back over top of the tank almost. You can see from my sig pic the angle they come off the trees......

Oh and btw they went on no problemo on my 08..... can't imagine it would be much differenct for the 09 with the exception being that you might have to lift the tank to get some additional slack in the wires.

Had the two inch risers on my 09 for a while now with no issues. Forgot I even had this post. I am all caught up in cams now, mod after mod.......
