Default HD Sidekick or Sidekick Custom Seats

Anyone out there have any experience with the HD sidekick or Sidekick Custom seats for the Dyna. I'm shopping for my '05 Lowrider.
I ride solo and like the fore and aft positioning of the stock Lowrider seat but would like a smooth leather seating surface with a little back support built in. The Sidekick description sounds about right but I'd like to hear from others before ordering.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated as well.

Thankz!!!

Why yes I do. I have the sidekick custom.
I liked the way it smooths out to the fender in the back.
It does give good back support and feels alot better than stock seat. Plus it is a little lower on my bike.
It was my preference over the badlander.

Did you try the two of them before purchasing the sidekick?!

Actually I did. I sat on several bikes with the bad lander. I preferred the feel and the look of the sidekick better. It doesnt go up on the tank as far and just gives a little more definition to the bike.

And can you compare the back support of badlander and sidekick?!

I have a badlander and I was wondering about getting a sidekick but I'm not sure between sidekick and sidekick custom...

Well I have had my sidekick since winter and cant exactly recall the comfort differences for supporting the back.
I just felt that it had a little more padding all over but still had a sleek look and my salesman told me it had more back support which I noticed but I didnt buy it from him or that dealership.

I just took a first long ride on the sidekick custom 2004 FXDL (with mid control), and following are my impression compare to the stock lowrider seat.
The seat sits lower and further back which I think is good. Reach to the highway pegs is slightly longer than I preffered (I wear 32 inch inseam jeans), but the wind resistance feels less at the highway speed (definitely good if you don't have windshield).
The seat has less custioning and more firm. You feel more of of the bump but gives similiar feel to the firm Corbin seat.
The seat have more back support which is definitely good.
Seat is narrower by about inches at the widest point and has smaller contact point, this maybe a problem for big guys but no problem with me (I weigh 165lb).
The seat was comfortable for about 150 miles (slightly less than stock seat).
The quality and looks of the seat is great, but showed slight but noticeable creasing on the leather after the long ride.
The passenger seat is a lot narrower and pretty much useless (you already know that).
In summary, the seat looks great and surprisingly comfortable. But in my opinion, there is no big advantage nor disadvantage in comfort over the stock seat.
