Default Replacing Dunlop SE180

What would be a good replacement for the Dunlop SE180/60B17? HD is discontinuing this tire as of 2010. Looked at new catalog and there wasn't any replacement. Avon, Metzler, Bridgestone??????

Thats what I replaced my 180 with 2 tire changes ago,, Its a great tire.
I got 7k on the 180, 14k on the first 170, and now I'm at 3k on my second 170.

However all that being said, I really doubt that Dunlop discontinued the 180
Its been way too popular of a tire for them. Also some of Dunlops sites dont list the tires that are especially made for Harley.
I know my Indy here in Houston has them.

You could look at the Pirelli Night Dragon 180/60HB-17

That is strange, since it is now the OEM tire on several models. I just ordered one yesterday from Latus HD and the order shipped the same day.

I agree with the earlier suggestion of Pirelli Night Dragon. Installed a set on a Street Glide. Great tires so far.

Look at the 2010 HD catalog. There is no SE180 available. They still have stock now. But don't plan on it later....

it OE on the new wide glide, so I don't think you have anything to worry about

for what its worth, I have a night dragon on mine now with goods results (its also made to fit on a 4.5" wheel)
