2001 T-Sport
Stock 88
K&N Air Filter
Thunderheaders
CV Re-Jetted @ Bergen Harley, NJ
Dynoed @ Woodstock Harley, NY
68HP 78TQ 5th Gear Roll-on
Consistant HP & Torque Curve
Mixure goes 14:1 to 16:1 from 4000RPM on

Should I worry about running lean in the high RPM's? Is 16:1 that lean?

Whats up with these lean WOT tune's? WOT should be between 12.8 and 13.2 to 1 on these engines. Any higher then that and the bike's at risk. 14:1-16:1 at WOT? Woah, I'd be doing some sort of enrichment right away and lay off WOT until then.

Guess I'll be tuning the carb. Lot's of good info on this site for that. I'll post the actual dyno run tonight.

Thanks for the feedback FL 799!

Take a look at the attached pic of the front cylinder log. This is from some extensitive wego logging and tuning over 4 hours today. When you tune these things, you adjust the VE tables to a certain target. In this case, I tuned to 13.2:1 across the board. Once this is set, you can specify the air fuel ratio with the sert software and the ECU will nail it every time. For me, I'm setting WOT at 13.0:1 which is right on the money without going overboard. This is why the add on fuelers like the PCIII and TFI's pale in comparison to the power of the sert. Add the Twin Scan wego logging to the mix and no dyno or undereducated operator can touch you.

One Step Furthur. Compare the HD factory EPA 'race' map with a well thought out modified map. The modified map has safe performance plus no drivability issues yet retains good fuel economy. Can you pickout the 'problem' areas on the factory map?

I agree, the actual dyno run is far more helpful than just posting max Hp and Torque.

I posted my actual data earlier as an attachment.

'06 FXDI. 95", SE A/C, SERT, SEII torque slip ons, bone stock heads, stock head gasket, 6,400' ASL.

The area under the curve is excellent, the AFR is very steady, and the classic dip in the torque curve is not there. The bike runs great, and will scoot to 100+ without difficulty. Also gets about 42mpg commuting in city traffic.

Hey RDE, try 2 try, I'm right out of Raleigh as well....seems like quite a few of us around here. I've been talking to the guys at Biker's Blvd. I've been window shopping there for years, and the owner has always been helpful. Either of you anything good or bad about them as far as engine and exhaust mods? I'd rather work with someone outside of the dealership, just my preference. I saw in an earlier post that Kendall Johnson is tops in the state. I don't know too many people in the "community" and want to make sure my girl is in more than capable hands. You guys are going to Ray's for all of your mods it sounds like?
