i learned of this issue when i was installing them on my superglide....it was worth it to pay the half our labor. Plus that front belt guard hex head was stripped when i tried to remove it, seems super man at the factory put it on.

 

Yeah, at least I finally got them off. I was easy, actually, just hard to get at them and I had to do it a few degrees at a time. Plus, when I got them off I saw they had loctited them too.

 

Loosen the drive belt and give yourself all the room you need. Just count the number of turns out and put it back the same # in, the whole thing took me 10 min.
