Thanks man. Yeah I really want a bullet head light like yours. I'm looking for a black one. I guess I need to look at easter performance to see what they have.....here we go, more $$$$$
There is a few bikes I have seen on this site with black bullet style head lights. They look pretty sick. I wanted to keep a little bit chrome.
I just completed my tank lift using brackets that i made myself. There are no issues with the tank moving. The dynamic forces that the tank & brackets see are those caused by wind resistance. Almost all of the loads should be transmitted to the rear mounting bolt in this application. Long story short, do it yourself and don't worry about it.
I agree on the headlight, it makes the bake look a little more aggressive in the front end. Loosenoose Where'd you get your tail lights? are they as bright as stock? FWIW your bike (mine too) would look killer with a little more rake and a tad longer fork tubes!
X2
Longer forks and balanced rake to match seem like the next step for a 2010 WG.
I drilled out the 3 rivets on each stock pipe, and the guts pretty much just slide out! You could remove everything inside the pipes if you wished I guess, although I just took out the fiberglass packing, and put everything ELSE back in. It's somewhat louder, but not a lot. Figured if I took EVERYTHING out of the pipes, I'd have to get it re-mapped, so haven't tried THAT yet.
I would love to post some pics of my 10 WG, but it is at home. I picked it up when I was on R&R, but was only able to do some basic mods and get about 150 miles on it. Great bike though...really like the power difference from my 88".
I put the black drag bars on mine, but really thinking of puting some apes or even mini apes on it. I've seen a few setups on here and liked the mini ape setup a lot more than I ever thought I would.
I also put black short shots and a black big sucker on, along with a V&H fuel pak. Only problem was the fuel pack referenced the wrong code. V&H did tell me to use the code on their website instead. That will be the first thing I fix when I get home.
