Thats the smart thing to do if you need (as me) to keep the rear "inserts/hardware" in place for a pillion every now and then.

Everyone else, have you removed all the hardware around the hole before plugging it?

Thanks for the pic! Exactly what I am talking about. Is there any chance that anyone can get a part number for that? The dealers here in Sweden do not carry that one all the time, they don't even know what you talk about when you point to that plastic plug in the hole on a Street Bob...

Another note: On your pic it does not look like you have the "middle" hole I am also refering to (that is already plugged). I guess that is something only on the international version, maybe has something to do with wiring back to the rear light.

Here you go - From the DYNA MODELS 2010 HARLEY DAVIDSON PARTS CATALOG pg. 89 INDEX NO. 2 (in case you want to double check)
PLUG (black) PART NO. 761

Yes, we do have the "middle" hole (that is already plugged) PLUG PART NO. 732

There is a middle plug on mine too. If you look really close to the top of the pic you can just barely see the edge of it. Not sure what the plug is for though

Ya, I took the hardware out of the fender before installing the plug.

Just something small. I never liked the way the stock license plate bracket looked so I cut mine off and built a new one from scratch. I used 18 ga. sheet metal and a $3 pickup utility light. I only used the housing though, and stuck the original LEDs in the housing to illuminate the plate. The bracket bolts onto the belt guard and goes around the axle. The nuts holding the light on are welded in place and the bracket uses two support brackets to keep it from bending. Makes the *** end of the bike much cleaner looking I think.
