New windshield from National Cycle. I needed more coverage for my upper body and this shield REALLY flows the air around me. Of course, I had to be the poser and paint like a harley bat-wing fairing. Flat black from the inside shown through as gloss from the front. Its a little on the tall side, but so am I...6'4" with most all my height in my upper body. It may be painted a little high in the center, Will probably clean paint down a little and square it off a little lower...flat across the middle. This windshield REALLY makes my bike much more stable at a higher speed. Normally my comfort zone w/o a shield tops out at @50 mph. But I'm on Hwy 70 twice a day and with the original HD windshield , my comfort zone is @75. With this shield, 90 is more comfy than 75 with the other one. I shot up to 90 yesterday without really paying attention, backed up to 72 and was in real comfort!!

How many miles you got on it now?

Only about 4000, but hopefully I will get a lot more on this summer.
Tire is at least half gone though.

What do you guys think about a 1" lowering blocks? I would like to lower just the rear but a tad worried about handling? Want to get the rear tire in the fender more. Plus how would 2 up be with a 1" block and a load of me at 180lbs and the wife at 110lbs?

Others might say differant but im going to flat out recommending not doing it.

I had 1" blocks on mine for about 6 months.
Here are your CONS

1.) Had to take passenger pegs off for fender clearance.
2.) Have a nice ding on my fender from the bleeder valve when i bottomed out.
3.) You lose more cornering than you realize
4.) My bike has never been ridden 2-up and im 6'2'" 225 lbs and i bottomed out.
5.) You have to keep your shock set at 4 or 5 to ensure you dont bottom out just setting on it.

Your PROS
1.) Bike looks a lot better lowered
2.) CHEAP
3.) See number 2.
4.) It does seem to hold the corner better, however see number 3 on the cons. You cant go near as low. (Especially depending on what exhaust you run)

Spend the money. Get new shocks and do it right. You wont regret it. When the time comes for me thats what i will do.

The flat out answer is if you even think about riding 2-up. The blocks wont cut it.

Thanks for the heads up I did not realize that shocks vs the blocks made that big of a difference.

Hey WG2011, the burly kit that I have on my bike are pretty cheap and as far as I can tell they are worth a hell of a lot more. Order quick though because they seem to go fast. My shocks were on back order for 2 months.

@GTsouth

I was thining about that and it look awesome but my issue is I like to ride 2up sometimes and I am not sure with that kit it would be ok for comfort and scraping. Hence why I only wanna go down 1" rather than 1.5 or 2. I would really like to just lower the rear get that low rear higher front look and get the rear time a bit more inside the fender at the same time. I keep hearing goods and bads about the lowering blocks some love em others have had issues so I am not sure which way to go right now. I was hoping to only spend the 50-100 bucks on the blocks, if I were to start spending hundreds I got a few other things I would like to do before hundreds on lowering.
