Hey Redleg!

In my opinion it's much better now when you have raised it up! It will be even better when you get the risers for the bar but yes, keep the fairing up where you have it now. You could try to rotate it back just a hair, but that "look" will also change when you get the risers so you have to change it again.

Be honest. What do you think?

Maybe i got used to the way it was before as it has been on there over a year, but im not sold on it being raised up just yet.......Maybe when i get the risers in and change the bar look it might change the look.

Maybe rotate the fairing back more?

Before and after pics below.....

It looks just fine- does it block wind better?

Yeah it actually does. I mean we are not talking windshield type blocking, but a hell of a lot better than what it was....

My best new Mod starts at 4 today. That starts another 1200 mile weekend. Miles on a bike are the best mods you can have. At 12,000 now, 20,000 by end of summer is the goal.....maybe 25k.......

Will also be a good test to see if the fairing does deflect a lot more raised up.....

I think they came off super glide, any 06 or later should work. I contacted a guy off of here that was selling parts off his glide and he sold them for $35.

I just changed out my rear for the first time at 11,100 miles. Stock front is still on the bike with a good amount of tread left.

What is everyone replacing the screws fastening the passenger pillow with when removing it? The front one, well it's big *** sized, the rear one is a a normally sized screw but I guess their is something more hugging the fender to repleace it with?

punch that number in on ebay, Thumb screw. i use it to replace the rear pillion post when riding solo, i then purchased a fender bib and use the small chrome phillips head screw that goes at the back of the pillion for the back end of the bib.

or you could make your own decorative thumb screw.
