SuperGlideKen,
What was involved with putting those HD FatDrag Bars on? Did you have to change any of the cables, and from what I understand the stock risers work fine, right?
I wanna buy them, but I saw a set on here and was told you don't need to change cables......HD of course says you do.......

The dealer is going to tell you that you will need to get only 1 cable changed the brake line, only because the stock one is too long. But, keep in mind that you will loose 1" going from stock bars to the drag bars, however, if you also pick-up some of the 2" riser spacers then no cable changes are need at all.

Keep in mind that your stock bars have a 1" rise in them, the drag bars are flat. So you will be 1" lower on the bars an lean slightly more forward. I didn't find it too comfortable at all. But with the riser spacers it actually brought me only 1" up from the original stock bars position (where you are now). Easier on my back.

I didnt change out any of the cables when i put on the fat drags... fact is i didnt even notice the front brake line being long... if anything, the clutch cable is a little too long but i just ran the extra slack under the bike....

2011 Wide Glide w/ Apes
Hi everyone, I have been a spectator member for a while. This is basically my first post and wanted to show you my new Wide Glide. My 2006 Road Glide is incredible but man I love this Wide Glide. It really does feel perfect. I installed everything myself, which was cool, hardest part was the cables/lines. Here is a list of mods already done:
16" RS King Apes
1 1/2" RS risers
HD Edge Cut grips, Brake pedal, Shifter, and Pegs
Kuryakin 3" Fwd Ctrl Extensions
V & H short shots
RS Venturi A/C
Power Commander 5 with Auto Tune
Flush mounted Fuel gauge/cap
Rear Fender bib
and some more little pieces here and there. Future mods include: Taller sissy bar, new solo seat, 1 inch drop from progressive, heartland mirrors and rear turn signals, powder coat triple trees, lowers, and some other items on the bike. Oh yeah, reflectors are coming off too.
Thanks for all the inspirations and ideas. Let me know what you think of her so far
