Volsjp did you wrap the heat shields and pipe or just the pipe? I had to pull my wrap off- the pipe was way too hot:-/

I pulled my shields off and sanded the pipe down really well. Then the fun began. I went to autozone and got the high heat exhaust paint and did 2 coats with that and cured it and rode it for a day like that just to make sure it was good and dry and cured. Then i went back to autozone and got a 50ft roll of exhaust wrap and used it all haha. We wetted it down first to get some good streatch and allow us to get it very tight. we wrapped it and did a little more than a half wrap overlap. Meaning we pretty much just made the wrap spacing very tight. After a 1hr 1/2 ride hard avg 89mph when we stopped i could rub the wrapping. Not HOLD it but could rub it no problem. If you have any other questions just ask. I have heard people talk about putting the wrap on dry and not being able to overlap it as well.

Damn! That's a lot of wrap! lol Mine was overlapping fine... But it was so damn hot! I've been running it bare but I think I'm gonna go back to the heat shields
