Default dirt track bars on FXDB

I just got some nightster bars and put them on my street bob. I took off the front turn signals in the process (thinking about leaving them off). I have only see this mod on one other members sig pic. is this a common thing, or are most going with bigger apes or drag bars?

Well i don't know about it being common or not but if I could find the bars Warr's of London use on a lot of their bobs (similar to yours but with a cross brace) I'd do it also.

I like that style....looks strictly business. Muddy Ape and Special Ed have low bars along those lines (and both have chopped rear fenders), and I like both of those bikes, too.

I like the look. How do they feel? Did you change cables or just re-route them?

Cables are just re-routed, the throttle cables stick out forward and the clutch cable you can see in the pic has a large loop. i'm not sure how I like the cables being so long, but I didn't want to spend any money on shorter cables at this time.

- as far as the ride is concerned. it's awesome, the bike handles well anyway's, but now I feel more on top of it, and I feel like I can push harder and get better response in the corners. I'm not sure how it'll be on a long tip yet as i've only had it around town and on back roads. i'll probably do a 100 mile run just to see how it feels.

I've got some Flanders flat track bars I like allot they're pretty similar to the Nightster bars.I don't do allot of long haul riding but they're allot more comfortable to me than the original mini apes that came on the bike.

Those Nightster bars look great on the Street Bob. I've never like apes or buckhorns and this bike might have just pushed me to my next machine with those bars.

Thanks, look forward to a report after that 100 mile ride.

Dude!

Love em........I did 4" z's and did the re-route on the cables as well. Used some Loner Ind 2" risers also and its the bee's knee's.

Well done

I've been thinking of doing the same myself for a couple of reasons. First, I think the Wild 1's I have may be bringing back an old shoulder problem after a couple of hours. (I am aged). The other, is I like the look. In fact, today I was at the dealer sitting on some bikes to get a feel for different bars and those nightsters seem just right. Not crazy to have to undo the internal wiring, but it will help me with that need to just never leave well enough alone.
