Default AMSOIL Tranny Question....

I'm getting ready to start running Amsoil in the all 3 holes, 20w50 in the crank and 10w40 in the primary but want to know which is best for the tranny.. The severe gear 75w90 or 75w110. I live in SC if climate is an issue in this discussion. Thanks alot guys...

I use ATF in my primary. I've had great results with it plus if you ever develop a leak, you have three different fluids so you know what exactly is leaking.

at least 75/110, I use Bel Ray 85/140 Gear Saver I get at my dealer
per Amsoil the 75/90 gear is thinner then the 20/50 motor oil

I also have had good results with Amsoil ATF in my primary

I have all my AMSOIL on standby right now, next weekend I'll do it. I got my buddy 75w-90 for the trans and he said he hasn't missed a shift in the heat down here since the swap. He mentioned that he might be asking me for some 75w-140 which I already order for my bike.

I'll be running 20w-50 in motor, 10w-40 in the primary and 75w-140 severe gear oil.

Seems everyone is all over the map w/ what they run. I run Mobil 1 15-50 in the crankcase, Valvoline synthetic ATF in the primary, and Amsoil HD in the tranny.

I'm running the Amsoil 74-140 also. Why run engine oil in your trans? Never will understand that. Convince is the only reason. Try the 75-140 Severe Grear and you want go back to engine oil again.
