Default streetbob with round air cover question

hi,
i'm about to order some stuff $$$ for my Bob, and have decided to go for the round nostalgic air cover. 29138-91,
and the round gasket it needs.
I'm also going to get the chrome backing plate, 29510-05, but cant get an answer from dealer on what else i need.

the HD site says i may need...
may require (2) O-Ring P/N 11292, (2) Breather Tube P/N 29557-05, and (2) Breather Screw P/N 29465-99.

Does any1 who has done this know if i need these?
Also, do you know the part number for the Air filter to match this setup?
(I'm sticking with the HD cleaner, as I will be getting it all shipped international so want to keep it all simple..ish)

thanks.
I know a few here have done this, so hopefully can help.

The o-rings and breather tubes, and breather screws sould be the the same as with your original backing plate. I had bought the round air cleaner cover for my '04 FXD with a carb., but did not like it because it was always loose.

thanks superdog.
will probably just get the o-rings so, to be safe.
even though that stuff not too expensive , im trying to keep it below levels that draw too much customs and excise on me.

Dude,

I think what they are getting at here is that if you are converting from stock a/c to Screamin' Eagle, then you will need to get all that other stuff. If, however, your are already at Screamin' Eagle level and just want to upgrade to the chrome backing plate, then you probably won't need all the other stuff.

That's my interpretation anyway...

That's correct. You do need the round rubber gasket to run the Nostalgia cover, but the rest of those parts should be included in an SE AC kit. If you don't already have the kit, and are just purchasing the parts seperately, then you WILL need them.

I want to clarify this a little.

I am going from stock football to a round setup with a K&N hd0800.

I ordered the chrome backing plate #29510-05.

I'm guessing the breather tubes will be needed, but what about the other stuff like the breather screws? I would think the stock ones would work.

You'll need the following parts if you are still running the stock backplate-

Plug, breather (2) 29557-05
“O”-ring (2) 11292
Stud, air cleaner mounting (3) 29447-99A

Buy the chrome backplate and then order the other parts separately. It's much cheaper than buying the whole kit. You will also need an air filter. The Screamin Eagle filter is part number 29442-99B, but I recommend the K&N filter instead. It is part number HD-0800 and can be ordered from several places. I think total cost for the whole setup was like $50, plus I spent $50 on the KN filter.

If you buy the nostalgic cover, you'll need to use the gasket to space it out away from the backplate. I also used a cutting wheel and trimmed a little off the top edge so it would clear my tank.

If you already have the SE/AC kit installed, then all you need is the chrome backplate... everything else will fit.
