Default why was dyna low rider dropped from line

there's so many dyna low riders out on the road, so why were they dropped from the line up?

2010 Wide Glide - 14,499 MSRP

2009 Low Rider - 15,099 MSRP

They are making the Dyna line less expensive. Sales and profit margin probably killed it. Like most models, you'll see a revamped LR show up in a couple of years.

It will probably return next year or the year after with the blackout treatment. HD is trying to deal with a slower market by lowering the price point on the Dynaglides. If the economic situation gets better, they may offer the chromed out top of the line Dynas again.

It's a shame as the low rider has always been a favorite of mine.

to me it looks like they turned the fxdc into a more low rider like bike this year. No tach though.

pre 2006 low riders had an extra 4 deg in the neck and really stretched out compared to the FXD,FXDX and FXDC. With the frame redesign in 06, the LR got the same frame as everyone else. IMHO it made it much less apealing as it really just blended in with the other models, at a much higher cost.

I'm going to guess it had nothing to do with it being a #1 seller..

It was too high priced; a lot extra for basically a tachometer. But it's a shame. There's been a Low Rider for 33 straight years. I'd have rather seen them add a tach to the custom and call it a Low Rider. You would think they would take more pride in having such a long-lived model. Maybe it will be this year's mid-year introduction.
