I'm glad I got mine when I did..... I suspect they'll come back in a couple years with a liquid cooled CVO Model Low Rider. That's IF AND / OR WHEN the economy picks up.
What I'm scratching my head over, is WHY then decided to keep the Road Glide. I hardly EVER see a Road Glide. Actually, we see more Street Glides, Softail Classics and Ultra's than anything else. But, maybe they're more popular on the coasts.

The big surprise to me is that they dropped the Night Train. That's an incredibly popular bike around here. I can only assume HD has something up it's sleeve...

Probably because the 400 workers that H-D is going to axe in September were the ones putting them together.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Harley-Davidson announced a job cut of 400 in Kansas City and significant downtime at its local plant this morning after low revenues during the second quarter.
Harley-Davidson will shut down two motorcycle lines for the fourth quarter.
The company cites the overall decline in motorcycle sales as a reason for poor revenues. Harley-Davidson said it will cut 1,000 jobs overall -- 700 hourly workers and 300 salaried employees.
Harley-Davidson said it plans to offer a voluntary separation incentive package to eligible salaried employees. Earlier this year, the company had announced workforce reductions totaling about 1,400 to 1,500 hourly production positions in 2009 and 2010 and about 300 non-production, primarily salaried positions.
More Guys and Gals that can no longer buy Harleys.
