Default Want to put wide glide trees on. What extra?

Looking to put a wider front end on my FXDX. Can't stand the sporty front end.
Other than triple trees what other extras will i need to do this i.e. spacers for the fender, etc. Any one that has done this, that can lead me in right direction on this would be a great help.
Thanks

Wheel and fender spacers. Also check to see if your existing headlight will mount on the new triple trees. New bearings.

Other than the mounting tabs, is the fender the same for WG and mid glide? I mean the part that actually covers the tire.

I went from the 39mm front to a wide glide front. You will need a full front end from a wideglide. Probably a new wheel too. Your dealer can give you a blow up of the wide glide front end with all the part #'s. From there I would suggest zanotti's for the parts. Zanotti's save me about 300 bucks off the local dealer prices. Also you will need a bottom mount headlight as well. You can also go to a mid glide 06+ front as well with the 49mm fork tubes. Another thing you will want is a 2" lowering kit for the front springs. The wide glide fork tubes are about 2" longer than the 39mm front end.

i did wide glide trees with 49mm street bob forks. no lowering needed. wish I could give you part numbers but i got everything off ebay and other forum members.

it's not hard at all. you just need all the parts. like others have said, start with a blow-up diagram and start collecting parts.
