I'm bummed that mine didn't have black wheels but loved the murdered out engine. I'm glad that I have the '07 triple clamps too.

I have an 08 but I agree with this post. 07 was prolly the best year. The IPB issue that the 06s had was resolved, engine was still black, rear fender hadn't been ruined yet and no integrated risers...... the only thing the 09s and onward have that I'd want is the black rims......... damn I want a set of those.

ya buddy! we can black it out... my bike has the inner and outter primary done in gloss, all the cases, rocker boxes, pushrod tubes and blocks, trans cover, cam plate all done in high gloss black... loooks so slick! i figured while we where building the motor i had to do something different with them! sky is the limit man, if you like black look at all the shades you can go with or textures!
I did leave the engine case and trans in the wrinkle black, mainly cause it took a while to get my crank welded and trued and i did not want to wait on assembly... i was a bit worried about how it would look and i can tell you i get props on it everywhere i go so far! also helps that the jugs i put on from Chad where like brand new!

personally i think you should play up the 09 silver motor... i would color match that powder and accent the bike in the silver. i think that would look awesome! think about it... only your year has a silver motor! that is awesome and makes it stand out... just cause everyone blacks it out does mean that doing silver would look bad, personally i think it would look awesome to silver out the sucker! would look very industrial!

silver engine would look good with silver tins and totally killer if you "silvered out" the frame too........ I think the guy should send you his whole bike and you can just powder the whole thing silver without even taking it apart!!!!!
