Agreed. At first I wanted the black, but since I wasn't going to black out the entire bike, the silver motor contrast looked better for what I was trying to do. Glad I got the silver now though I wasn't so sure at first.

I agree with the sentiment that the grey motor looks great with black pipes . Contrast looks real good like that .

Be happy that your 09 doesn't have the cats installed in the muffler like the 10's do.

I'm with Punchsmack - I always got the blacked out motors then I got a SG with all silver and like it that way now.

Yes on both, notice the heat shields on the shorty mufflers for the 2010's. They are there for a reason.

But only until you "resolve" the problem.

i put it on thursday night and the new fender friday night, looks great, I got more compliments on saturday at the poker run than ever, primered rear fender and fairing. I am really thinking of doing semi gloss black or grey powder on the tins.
