Default Where to put my cane?

I need some advise on where to carry my cane on my bike. I tried to put it across the handle bars and used velcro to secure it, but it slides right and left. I need to be able to put it on and off fairly quick. It being summer I don't have the windshield on and have replaced the highway bars with FXDP boards. Any thoughts appreciated.

maybe you could get some sort of telescopic cane? or else have a sheath made for it that would strap to your bike somewhere...

maybe something following the lines of the rear shocks. I bet you could macguyver some sort of brackets to either the top or the bottom of the shocks which would still allow them to flex.

Default just an idea

have you ever seen those rifle holsters on the old cop bikes? they would mount them on the front end, usually strapped along the length of the front right shock kinda of like the old west pony express on horseback. good luck

Rifle Scabbard $29.99, http://www.cabelas.com/

Spend the extra for the one with the flap, looks you'll get every time you take your cane outta the Rifle Scabbard....priceless.

Friend of mine runs them down the sides of his front forks. He uses 2 due to a back injury. On Fatboy, he has the backrest and runs them on the backside of it.

cane positioned diagonally on your back secured with a sling/strap across your chest (like Uma Thurman in KILL BILL?)

I got hit broadside back in '88 and while on the mend I used to stick mine down the back of my coat. stuck up above my head and looked kinda funny but I rode a Sporty back then and had no other option.
