Does anyone know the width of the sissy bar needed for an 08 fat bob, I found one on a sight for 15 bucks owner says it will fit a softail but not a sportster. Does anyone think this will fit?

 

where the sissy bar slides into the sideplates....9 1/2 inches OUTSIDE to OUTSIDE and 8 3/8 inches INSIDE to INSIDE
