I had a leaky rear shock -- see this thread. Ended up being covered under warranty though.

Default Ohlins

Ohlins makes a shock that was originally marketed for the FXDX(the set up instructions are titled Harley Davidson FXDX)which I put on my StreetBob and have written about on this forum- fantastic shocks. Fully adjustable. Ohlins 36PRCLB 340mm or 13.4" out of the box with another 1/2" length adjustment possible. Any Ohlins dealer will set up the springs for your weight and riding style. I used Howard Messner who was great to work with. The Ohlins have a nitrogen external reservoir and are adjustable for compression, rebound, pre-load and length. Shock stroke is 88 mm or 3.46". Price is around $1450/pair. Expensive but I'm glad I scraped the bottom of my bank account to get them- I can't believe the difference in the ride. Jay

Dang $1450, I'm sure they are real nice but my pockets aren't that deep. The OEMS should be rebuildable for what they cost.

+1, 2 and 3. Stock OEM shocks are very low quality.

I put works performance 13" shocks on my wideglide. Huge difference in ride, cornering, and stability. The OEM shocks really sucks.
