Had a hollow core door fly out of the back of a pickup in front of me on the way home Thursday. I was glad it hit the road and shattered before I ran through the debris. It went left so I went right only to have it decide to move right and hit the pavement about 20 feet in front of me. Nowhere to go other than to try and maneuver in my lane with afternoon traffic, no shoulder and heavy traffic clicking along at 60mph. Dang near had to pull over and wipe though.

 

klbjoc, I was on I-35 too, in Overland Park, KS, near 75th street, when the hubcap came at me.

 

Weird! I was northbound at 87th street when this happened. Bad stretch of highway I guess.

 

I've seen a leaf spring from a truck break free and sail through the air, hitting a young guy right smack in the head killing him instantly. It shot through his windshield. Debris kills many many people ever year, not just motorcyclists.
