If any of you have seen the VH Quiet baffles for the Big Shots Staggered they look a lot like this mod on the front end of the baffle. But they are about $60 a pair. I don't know if this mod would fit in to the stock VH BSS baffle or not. I have not yet seen there stock baffle out side the pipes...But I will soon.

I checked the cups and being chromed they have no signs of wear. A little backpressure is a good thing or else we would all be running drag pipes. Think of other baffles that have a big following such as BCT's that'll cost you some big $. The bike ran better with a little more throttle response. Even if the cups only lasted 2-3 years no big deal. I would think that if anything would go it would be the re bar ties that I used to tie them in and that would only cause a rattle until you tied them in again.
Yeah, I agree 100% on your back pressure point! Many have commented on the reduced torque after installing high flow mufflers!! If you get 2 or 3 years out of the catchers, well, that would be great too...

Thinking about this today and I figure the chrome cup will last longer than the plain steel the baffle is made out of.
I would imagine that a walk through a hardware store the skies the limit for different options for sound and back pressure. Sure beats dropping big $ for someone else to sell a set at MSRP.

Anyways I dropped this pair in the swap and sell if anyone is interested.

Good thinking and it does sound good.

Could you post a 'before mod' vid if you have one for comparison?

No before video. Running a Fatcat nowadays but in my opinion people spending big bucks on the "washer on a stick" are wasting their money when you can produce the same for a couple of bucks.
