Looks good...I would like to see before and after pics to see the difference between the stock tire and the new one.

That's good to hear! I was wondering if I could go from the 170/60-17 on my FSDSE 4.5" wheel! Now I need to check on a 90/90-21 and I'll be set!

CB
I have no idea but he always kills on tire prices, 207 out the door plus he drops my bike off at the post office while I'm on the street (I'm a USPS letter carrier) can't beat that...

My Dyna rear end is slammed all the way down with the struts. I have the stock Dunlop 170/60-17(4.5" wheel) and want to replace with a 180 BUT I need it to be a 180/55 to keep clearance from the electrics. I have 1/4 from the rear light fixture as it is with the stock. I'm beginning think there isn't one made! Any help would be appreciated! The front is also the stock Dunlop 90/90-21(2.15" wheel). A matching front would be appreciated as it seemed to take 500 miles to get the front "seasoned" to fast turning. I'm stationed in Germany and routinely ride at 100MPH for extended periods and about 70 on the winding Alpine roads. My pipes and kick stand can attest to my sport bike beginnings.

I believe the stock tire size is 160/70-17 not 170/60.

Nope. The 2008 FXDSE2 (pictured) is a 170/60-17. For $25,800 you get 10mm more. It's a nice size, but I know if I could get a 180/55 it would fit under the fender.

Quite a premium for 10mm. They could have AT LEAST fit the SE 180 under there, I mean jeesh. I honestly didn't know they upped the stock size on the SE models.

The only way you're getting a 180/55 under there is if you get a 5.5" rim. No 180/55s are designed to fit on a 4.5" rim. that I know of. Everyone on the board who has done similar has purchased a wider rim.

Truth be told, I had to do research find out which model the FXDSEs were based on so I could order after market parts. It's a supedup Superglide but anything that you can get for a FXDWG will fit as far back as 2005 parts (mostly).

The premium paid for all the extras the MoCo put on this bike actually justified the price for me and the fact that I got my bike tax free through Military Car Sales in Europe!

...and since I am not going to change out these killer wheels I'm going to stay with the 170/60 config. My next question is who else then Dunlop sells a 170/60??? No one I think since I have been searching for something other than the OEM skins. I don't really trust these seemingly H model tires! I've already had the dealer change the front tire once (after 3 months of ownership) because the sidewalls were cracking!!!!
