How does the 06 Dyna color matched spoiler mount? I bought a used one on ebay last night. I don't know if it has hardware with it or not or any instructions. I was just curious how it mounts.

I remember installing a frame to the engine mounts that the spoiler is then attached to the frame. Check with a dealer to see if you can get what you need.

I heard it mounts to the frame via the motor mount. Overkill if you ask me for basically just a cosmetic part. Seems like the could just fashion something to mount it to the frame of the bike and only take a couple of minutes. I want one on mine but not sure it's worth the installation effort. At least not til I get the mod bug again.

It should come with a bracket. It may not come with the bolts, but the bracket is a must. The spoiler mounts to the bracket and the bracket mounts to the engine mount. If you look at the engine mount there are 2 bolts. First you need to support the motor with a jack then with the spoiler mounted to the spoiler mount...

First check to see if the person you bought it from provided new engine mount bolts and lock washers. If not you should get some lock washers...

1. Remove the bottom engine mount bolt completely and using new bolt/lockwasher or remove existing flat washer and install new lock washer, now reinstall engine mount bolt loosely.
2. Remove top engine mount bolt
3. Slide spoiler mount over bottom engine mount bolt (bottom hole on spoiler mount is an open hole that will slide over bottom engine mount bolt.
4. Install top engine mount bolt with lock washer through top spoiler mount hole and into engine mount.
5. Tighten engine mount bolts to spec
6. Remove jack
7. Enjoy.

Alright, thanks. I should have it probably sometime this weekend so I'll see what all came with it. Doesn't sound like a big deal installing it as long as it comes with everything.
