Default tank lift and wind buffeting

it was my first test today with the new tank lift from rudedog but i really felt like most of the buffeting from the windshield was gone. i want to do some more riding before i say for sure but you guys that are having a problem may want to look into the lift.

Man,that's good news. I've got my lift ordered and if you're right, that'll be a nice plus.

Good Luck

Oh yes the wind deflection caused by the tank lift is very nice. I noticed the difference right away. No more wind coming from underneath the windshield, pushing my helmet up and strangling me with the chin strap.

I thought it was just my imagination because I put my tank lift on after I only had 400 miles on the present bike. Thanks for noticing and verifying my assumption that it got less windy with the lift installed. My last bike was a '91 FXRP with the fairing, I have no wind shield on this bike yet and I haven't rode without a windshield in a few years.

Wind buffeting is blocking some of the wind meaning instead of the wind coming up from the bottom it's going under the tank.
