Mounting a Memphis Shade windshield

Recently I bought a Memphis Shade windshield for my 06 FXDC.

I have to admit I'm a sucker for symmetry. Funny thing is when the windshield looks 'centred' from the front, it is way off when I'm sitting on the bike. And vice versa.

Anyone experienced this?
