Angry Tri Bar LED Issue

I am wondering if anyone has experienced any issues with the tri-bar LED on their Fat Bob.

I had noticed that the light itself was loose from the bracket so I took a closer look to find the mounts on the bottom of the light were both broke. These two plastic tabs on the bottom and the two clips on the top are the only thing holding the light on. No big deal it is only a $240 light!!! I thought I may have overtightened the bolts, but when I took it apart I noticed it had actually broken off above the holes so that is likely not the case.

Long story short I made a bracket from an old license plate bracket from a Sportster to support the light from the bottom. I sure hope this works so I don't have to go back to the hemorroid.

If anyone has had a similar problem let me know and I can take some pictures.

I have heard alot of problems with the tribar and this is the reason that I have not put one on my bike yet. I hope and wish harley could look into it but I really doubt it.

Try some caulk inside the light to secure it better.

Default See if I can load these pictures

The first is of the broken tab. The second is all you can see of my fix. I bolts on the bottom to the license plate mount and holds the light firmly up. I used some double sided foam tape to keep the bracket from eating into the bottom og the light.
