I wanted the brightness of LED Lights. But I wanted to stay with the more traditional tail light look. I went with the HD LED Tail Light Part# 68085-08
which is the Red Lens with Chrome Housing made for my softail with the bobtail fender. HD Add shows different fender, but same tail light. MUCH brighter back there, coupled with my red turn/run/brake lights. I should be seen.

I put the tri bar on my fatbob last sunday. Bought it from a member of the forum. It appeared as new in the box and I think it was never installed. I had it on for three days and read this post. I went out and checked and sure as h-ll the bottom tabs were broke. I think it was a case of over tightening the screws. Upon close examination of a new light at my dealer it appears that when you put the light into the plastic fender housing and hold everything snug with your fingers there is a small gap between the housing and the lens tabs for the screws. I would suggest that when installing a tri bar one should put a small rubber washer between the screw tabs and the housing before putting in the screws. Don't over tighten the screws! I salvaged mine with some small fender washers against the tabs. Retail 240 should have metal install points. Mike

Checked mine last night, still looks good. The lens is not solid so I perhaps I lucked out and did not over tighten.

Well just got off with Harley Davidson. And yup....you guessed it....they wouldn't honor their commitment to customer service, satisfaction , or product guarantee. They hid behind their 90 day policy and had the gall to say. Well thats user error. Cant help you. now im out 200 plus .dollars not .to mention the cost of replacement. I can't even begin to word how annoyed and disappointed iam at this moment
