Default Drilling out my baffles tomorrow to put in BCTs, any tips/advice?

Stock Fat Bob going to completely remove the baffles, install the BCT Thunder Monster baffles into the head-pipe. How loud is it going to be? Any tips/tricks on doing this? I've got the 2" metal hole drill, so it shouldn't be too tough.

I think you should be able to get them whole baffle out without drilling. If they are like the screaming eagles you would have to press them or bash then out once you get them off. Some have used 1 1/4" steel poll and knock it out. They have it on a 2x4 and hit out. I read about it when I thought about putting BCTs in the SE's. But I came across a great deal on V&H slips on so I didn't end up doing that to the Se's. I would pull off the muffle and look at it first because if you drill them out I don't the the BCTs are going to work because they are made for the specific diameter of the pipe. Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't looked in to many stock baffles. What some people do is just drill a 1/2" hole in the baffle using one of the foot long bits. Especially if you aren't going for loud because I heard that the BCT's are loud but sound great. If one whole isn't loud enough drill another one and another one till you are happy.

If you look near the tail end of your stock slip-ons there are some rivets there, you must drill out the rivets, then use something to poke the stock baffles out.Yours is an'09 so you likely won't have much carbon blocking them up yet. Get some good quality rivets to put them back, unless you use screws .

...and don't "bash" anything out as described above. Unless you want visible wrinkles in the chrome caused by the impacts.
