Is there something between the loudness of SE2 and stock?

Are the Harley Davidson script slip ons somewhere in the middle ?

Are the pipes a little barkier when the bike is still lean even post download ?

yes you are correct and I have a pair collecting dust slightly used... assuming you have 06 dyna

 

The SEII Torque tapered mufflers are quieter than the SEII Pro mufflers.

These are NOT the street legal ones you see in the catalog. These are listed in the racing catalogue. They look like stock mufflers, but say "Screaming Eagle" on the side. Part no: 80061-00

I just put them on my 06 FXDCI. Much nicer than stock, and not obnoxious by any stretch. Driving down road at 40, don't really notice them. At idle, next to bike, it sounds louder and throatier but not obnoxious.

Are there decibel ratings for the stock, HD script and SE2 mufflers ?

I have the SE's with script and they are louder than stock but not as loud as my wife's '05 low with the SEII's. I drilled mine out and it still is not as loud as her's. I know everyones preference is different but I think her SEII's sound just right. If you are looking for something in between then you definitely would like the SE's with script.
