Default Help, Barely made it home . Bike sputtering.

Just walked in the door. 3 shots of anejo teq and I am feeling better. Bike is sputtering and will not run under load. Checked spark plugs, all fuses, new gas, battery terminal was a little loose , fixed that. riding 250 miles to get home. Engine light comes on and off. Everything seems fine but runs like sh-----t. Any Ideas. Guess its going to the stealer soon. could not find any loose connections . Any ideas , Thanks.

Find out what diagnostic codes your ECM is throwing. With the engine light going on and off, sure bet you've got some codes you can look up.

Yes you should be able to see your codes when you hook up your SERT.... except if your computer died...

There is a way to pull them out using the blinkers as a 'morse code' type system.... I'll see if I can find the thread again...

Here it is:

It actually reads diag (not da19) which usually means you held the button down too long, try it again and see what happens.

Can you verify that code is what you get, 2 or 3 times?

Would help, just to make sure.... 'cause that code is not in my 08 electrical diagnostics manual...

NOTE:
When you see the D1A9, push the button again. record the number, push again and record the next number, if there is one.

Look at how to do the procedure again, what you are seeing is the word "diag" listed in step 3.
