I am looking to find a chrome tank dash for my 06 street bob. I am having no luck finding any aftermarket - yet I see a lot of bikes sporting them. Anyone know where I might come by such a thing? Links?

no one makes them, you have to have yours chromed

other option would be to buy a console for a 08 FXDSE. This will fit and allow you to move the ignition switch as well.

 

Like stated above the only Chrome option besides doing yours is the 08 SE one. As with all SE stuff its rather high ($240 I think) but has the spot to put the ignition in the dash which is nice.

I've heard one or two guys say they regret their chromed dash. Lots of trouble with reflecting the sun directly into your face. Just thought it would be worth mentioning.

Lots of bikes come with chrome dashes.

I don't think I've ever had the reflection be a problem...did mine shortly after I bought my 2006.

Cost was $125 at a local chromer. Call around or just stop in with the bike and get an estimate.

My chromer told me that the dash is NOT a nice, smooth piece under the wrinkle finish. He had to smooth it out some before chroming it so it would look good.
