I used krylon textured, I didnt want to clear a matte black paint so I went with krylon because it is really durable. No issues thus far!

I just pulled the band off and plugged the holes with some screw in spikes from studsandspikes.com. Came out great. I am sure any rattle for metal, flat black.

krylon satin black. perfect match. just be sure to use primer and scuff it up good so the paint will stick well.

I used a gloss black tremclad paint to do mine....matches the vivid black of the tins pretty well and I live the contrast with the wrinkle black on the battery cover itself

Dupli-Color Low gloss black (DE 1634). I have blacked out the horn, battery cover and exhaust shields and the paint matched and holds up well
