while i've been looking at parts i have noticed most of them will say "works on all dynas 96-03 exc. wideglide."

what is the difference in the WG vs all the others? i have tried to look for the difference but i can come up with anything but maybe it has something to do with the bobbed tail fender??

i just picked up a sundowner solo for $92 and was looking for the pass seat and they say that they will not work on a WG. i've been wondering what was up with that since i got the bike!

 

Aha, I never had a solo seat on. I bet its because of the position of the mount holes. I bought a Mustang Vintage Wide one peice seat and out of all the choices of that model, only one was specific to an 04 or 05 Wide Glide. The hole to bracket length is longer.

 

Depends what you're looking at buying. I've often contemplated searching for parts that will fit softail customs, as that is a wide glide front end on a softail frame.

 

Yeah but the fenders mount differently. The fork tubes are not as large as our WG's.

 

I'd say only the front half is cooler If i had one I'd need to change the rear fender.
